The beauty of the fall season is arriving bit by bit each day. Fall time makes me appreciate living in New England more than I already do. The light becomes more golden, the days become shorter, and we retreat inside into the cozy warmth of home a little earlier each day. Here are some of my favorite fall photos so far from this lovely season.
We’ve done it! Last week, we planted our long talked about vegetable garden. We chose cucumbers, Roma tomatoes, a jalapeño plant for Eth, brussell sprouts (my favorite vegetable hands down!), spinach, lettuce, and summer squash. Lets hope the deer stay out!
To take a turn in the garden seems such an English thing to do. The big house is surrounded by gorgeous gardens. I try to get out there each day to see what is coming up and try to spot some critters- hummingbird moths, butterflies, swallows, wild turkey, even deer. Every time I walk out there I’m just filled with gratitude and happiness.
there is such peace and happiness in creation.
Some sights from the last day of May
And tomorrow we wake up to June…
An outside door way to an old cellar, flowers at the farmer’s market, the Hancock Inn, a stream on Old Dublin road, and some ferns. come out in service with me xxC
Yesterday was gorgeous outside, nearly sixty degrees; warm for November. I went for a little exploration of my new turf. Beautiful, no? I love where we live! x x C
